The East Alabama Chamber Foundation is the heart of the chamber’s work to grow leaders and strengthen the communities we call home. As the chamber’s 501(c)(3) nonprofit arm, the Foundation is where purpose meets impact—offering programs like Leadership East Alabama and Young Leaders of East Alabama for high school juniors and seniors that equip people of all ages to step up, lead, and make a difference. The foundation also focuses on economic and community development taking on projects that make our towns more beautiful, vibrant, and connected.

Young Citizens Awards

The Young Citizens Awards is about investing in the future by supporting students as they chase their dreams. We give scholarships to Central High, Glenwood, Russell County High, and Smiths Station High seniors in six categories: Academics, Art, Athletics, Career Tech, Community Service, and Journalism. With the help of local business sponsors, the Chamber Foundation has given high school seniors more than $80,000 in cash scholarships since 2018.
